1. Always-on Display

OnePlus 9RT comes with a super AMOLED display, so you got the Always-on display in this phone. To set up this, go to your settings>Ambient display>Always on ambient display. After that set it to all day. Now it’ll be visible all day on your Oneplus device.

2. Customize AOD

To customize your Always on Display go to settings>personalization>clock on ambient display. From here you can choose the type of clock you want on the Always-on Display. In a new feature, you can also get the weather information on the ambient display.

3. Fingerprint Animation

If you again go to settings>personalization, you will get a Fingerprint Animation option next to “clock on ambient display”. Tap to open it, now from here you can choose the type of animation you want while you put your finger on the fingerprint sensor.

4. Horizon Lights

The other feature you got in the display personalization settings, is Horizon Lights which is also known as Edge Lighting. In this when you got a notification then the edge will light up. You can customize the different colors of Notification Lights in the OnePlus 9RT.

5. Canvas (AOD & Lock Screen)

In OnePlus 9RT the setting style is based on Color OS so we don’t have a direct option of the canvas. But you can use it by going to settings>personalization>wallpaper. Now here tap on the Beta Canvas option you got on the bottom left corner. You can set any image here & it’ll appear as animation while AOD is on.

6. Customize icon style

To Customize the Icon style in your OnePlus 9RT, again go to settings>personalization>icon style. here you will get the default circular icons of Oxygen OS, you can change it to Hydrogen Icon pack & by that, you’ll get the rectangular icon shape.

12. Swipe Down Function

In every new Oneplus phone when you swipe down on the home screen then you’ll get the Oneplus self. If you like this feature then it’s alright but if don’t then you can easily change it. For that Long press at the Home screen & go to “Home Settings”. Now tap on “Swipe down to access” and choose “Notification and quick Setting” & save it. Now when you swipe down on the home screen then you can control the notification panel from here.

In this device, if you want to lock your phone by double-tapping on the home screen, then again Long press at the Home screen & go to the “Home Settings” & find the “Double tap to lock” & enable it.

14. Home & launcher Layout

To Increase or decrease the number of apps on the home screen, Long press the Home screen & go to the “Home Settings” & select “Home screen layout”. Here you can change the grid style, change the size of the icon, & remove the name of the icon.

15. Quick Search Gestures

On the Home screen, another cool feature you got is Quick Search Gestures. Again Long press on the home screen & go to home settings. Then you’ll get the Quick Search Gesture, turn on its toggle. 16. Hidden space for apps

On OnePlus 9RT You can also hide your apps if you want by using the Hidden Space feature in 2 ways, In 1st If you pinch outwards on your home screen. In a 2nd way swipe up your app drawer and then swipe right on go to your hidden space. Now tap on the “+” icon in the corner to add apps to it. & By taping on the 3 dots you can enable password protection to hidden apps.

17. Lockbox for files

After the apps, you can also hide the files & password protect them. For this go to File manager & at the bottom of the file manager, you’ll get the LockBox option. After setting it up you can add files to it & they will get hidden from the file manager.

18. Screen recorder

You also get a very high-quality inbuild screen recorder on phone. For this Drop down the quick setting shade and swipe across the second sheet and you will see the Screen Recorder (Long press to open its settings). Tap on it and then a tiny floating button appears. To enable it, go to settings>wifi> Advanced settings>wifi assistant>dual channel acceleration, then here turn on the toggle next to Dual-channel acceleration. Adaptive sleep is a new feature in Oneplus. It prevents the screen from going to sleep when you are not touching it. Your phone will be able to detect if you are looking at it. To enable it go to settings>display & brightness>adaptive sleep, turn on the toggle next to adaptive sleep.

If you again go to settings>display & brightness>screen color mode, There are two color modes for users to choose from – Vivid and Gentle. The Vivid color mode is based on the DCI-P3 color range, while the Gentle mode represents sRGB colors.
