Steps for new Mac(2018-2022)

1) In the first step click on the apple logo at the top left corner of your screen.

3) Here click on the System update option.

4) Now make sure you see here “Your Mac is up to date”, if not then you’ll get the update option here. So first update your Mac & then move to the next option.

5) Now  again click on the apple logo at the top left corner of your screen and then click on the System Preferences option

6) Then next to the apple logo click on on “System Preferences ” option & then click on the “Erase All Content and Settings” option.

7) Now you need to enter your “administrator password or pin” & click on OK.

Steps for old Mac(2017 & older)

  1. In the first step click on the apple logo at the top left corner of your screen and select Restart & click Restart.
  2. After that hold down the Command and R keys as soon as you hear the Mac tone indicating a reboot.
  3. Now wait for the macOS utility screen to appear, then click the Disk Utility option.
  4. Then choose your Mac’s system drive, usually named Macintosh HD, then click Erase.
  5. Select the Format option Mac Extended (Journaled) or APFS.
  6.  Now click Erase then confirm your action, and wait until formatting is complete. After completing, close Disk Utility and click reinstall macOS.
  7. Now simply follow the installation guide given on your screen and allow the procedure to continue until you see the Setup Assistant appear.
